YOU GOTTA VOTE!

Okay, I have two videos that are both made by some cool people. Just please watch them both!

The first one of funny! funny! funny! I laughed a lot! This is Joel, so hopefully you know that I only laugh at things that are actually funny. Not saying that Mandi doesn't, I am just pointing out my own personal excellent taste and insight as to what actually is or is not funny.

The second one here is funny, but good. This is what they were trying to do. It is a good one. After you watch the first one, you'll want to watch this one. Not as funny, but it is VERY IMPORTANT!

WARNING: This video below does swear quite a bit, so don't watch if you are offended by swearing.

Football Weekend

It was another big football weekend in the Larsen family. Tyler played Alta (the rival school of Jordan), Zach played Riverton who they had to have won to be in the playoffs, and Collin played Riverton to decide who was in 2nd place and who was in 3rd.
This is cute Grandma Larsen at Ty's game. She painted her face! What an awesome grandma!

We will start with Ty's game. It was senior night, so all of the seniors on the team were honored. I didn't get video of that because I was taking video with my parent's camera, but we are very proud of Tyler. He has been offered a full ride scholarship to SUU which is so awesome! Anyways, so Jordan vs. Alta. The game was really exciting. Alta took the lead pretty quick at the beginning, but then Jordan came to life and they were neck and neck all the way to the end. With about four minutes left, Jordan scored, and then got the ball AGAIN and scored. So now, we are up by one point. With only about five seconds left, stupid Alta kicked a field goal, made it, and won the game. Very very very very depressing. Jordan is still in the playoffs, it just would have been nice to beat Alta because they are so stuck up (Yes I went to Alta, but I do not claim them as my school : ). Ty did really good though, so that is all that mattered.

I got this picture from the Deseret News. They took this right after Alta made the field goal. That's Ty in the middle. I wish the pic would have been them celebrating : (

Zachy's team are the two time champions for his age group. They had a tough year this year though. They had to win Riverton to be in the playoffs. It was a very close game, but Riverton pulled it out in the end and won. Zachy always plays awesome. He's not the biggest kid on the field, but he plays the hardest!

Collin's team had a rough year last year, but they have been ROCKING it this year! They were fighting Riverton for second place, and won! The game went into overtime. Jordan scored first, but missed the extra point in OT. Riverton tried to score, but Jordan didn't give them a chance! Collin is a great player and adds a LOT to his team. The video below is the last play of the game when Jordan held them, and they celebrated their win.

CANCUN

We just got back from a week long trip to Cancun, and it was AMAZING! So relaxing and fun. We both needed it. Here are a few pics from the trip.

The first day, we went to Telum to see the ruins. Everywhere we went, there were iguanas everywhere. HUGE iguanas. Kind of freaked us out at first, but they just run when you get a little close to them. The ruins were really neat, right next to the ocean.

This is a picture of our room. The hotel was suprisingly nice. It was an all inclusive resort, which I highly recommend if you ever go to Mexico.

The coastline of our resort was just a bunch of sharp rocks, so they created their own little lagoon. It was really pretty. We were there during their slow season, which was great because there were hardly any people there.

This picture sums up Joel's trip. He LOVES snorkeling, and went every chance he got.

Because it was an all-inclusive resorts, we could order as many drinks as we want, including specialty drinks. Joel and Danny thought it was funny to sing that country song in spanish "Two pina coladas....", you know the one. Even though none of our drinks had alcohol, I think that everyone there thought these two boys were the most drunk in the whole place!

Our hotel had a little stream running through it. The hotel was really pretty. Everything was outside with just a roof, no walls, and really thick jungle all around it.

This is at the entrance of the park that was next to our hotel, Xcaret. The park had a bunch of ocean animals, places to snorkel, an underground river, etc. It was a really cool place. The day we went there, it rained a lot, so we didn't stay long. Joel and I did the swimming with the dolphins which was AMAZING! We couldn't bring in our camera, so we don't have pictures of it, but that was definitely one of the highlights of the trip.

This is in the underground river. The water was freezing cold, but it was still a lot of fun to float through it. In the picture is the couple we went with, Danny and Kristen Knudsen. Danny and Joel were mission comps in Texas.

One day, we did a Jungle Tour thing. You get to ride these waverunner / boat things, and they take you through this jungle in the ocean, and then you go snorkeling. That was a lot of fun.

Joel went fishing for 8 hours one day. To bad he didn't find out it was slow season for fishing until he got on the boat. He still had fun though. This fish below is a barracuda. Scary looking huh!

I am really glad Joel speaks spanish because it made the whole trip a lot easier. Not many people speak English where we were at, and I would have been completely lost without him. Because he speaks Spanish, he and Danny made friends with just about every employee at our hotel. One day, the lifeguard took him spear fishing, and they caught a lobster. They also saw a sea turtle, and a sting ray. They are hard to see in the pictures, but you can tell what they are from the outline.

Our hotel had an area that was for adults only, which was really nice. It had this little pool there, and was right on the ocean. Very peaceful. This was my favorite place to lay out.

Well, that's it! I hate that our trip is over. It was so much fun! Hopefully we will get to go again sometime....
